My pistol shrimp?

I recently bought a pistol shrimp and yellow watchman gobie. So far there relationship has been horrible. The shrimp keeps poping the gobie everytime he gets to close. IS this normal for them to do this before they form a bond or is the shrimp showing signs of aggression.

What color is your pistol shrimp? We have a red one that hasn't paired with any of the watchman gobies (hi fin & wheelers) we put in. Our tiger striped pistol paired with a yellow watchman gobie.
