my poor clams

two of my clams died one was my squasmosa and the other i forgot wut it was, im thinking it might of died cause for a whole week i only turned the lights on for 3 hrs because of my major hair algae breakout but my maxima is doin fine. Also if a clam dies does it release toxins cuase my sohal tang seems wierd it looks like it cant keep itself ballanced, his fins constantly flap

Sorry to hear that, likely the lights off, but I have no exp with clams, so I really don't know.
Title fixed, though.
 
What caused the hair outbreak?What are your water parms at?What kind of lighting are ya using?Could be lots of causes,we need more information to help you out.

i gotta test my water tonight and i have mh lights, i used rodi water, i gotta change the filters in january

How old are the MH bulbs and what color / wattage? I know my tank starts growing alot more algae when my MH bulbs hit 6 months and are ready to be changed. I run 2*400w radiums on an HQI ballast over a 90 gallon tank.

Clams dont release toxins such as cukes and boxfish, however the dying flesh could casue an Ammonia spike which, if high enough, will effect your other livestock. Check your parameters and get back to us

The shame is on your clams.
Yeah ammonia spike will stress everything else.
Check for parasites while your at it. 1 week with lights on for 3 hours, don't seems like it will kill a clam.:nope: And 1 is still alive. Have you seen little white snails? They look like rice. Look under the clams and other snails.

k thnx, well my sohal tang seems to be doing better and im gonna prepare sum new sw to do a water change
