Where you able to watch him eat at the store before you bought him. If so, its prolly the new environment, if not, they might have been lieing to you.

Mine is about 5 inches long so he is not that little. I wash thinking about just going to the local fish and bait shop and buy some frozen shrimp for it to eat. Hopefully he will eat that.

If you want to see him go crazy add some minced garlic or garlic extreme by Kent. Just soak the Krill in it for 15 minutes. I wouldn't feed him krill at every meal. Get some fresh seafood mix from the grocery store. Octopus, shrimp, clam, squid, chop it up with garlic then freeze it. Yum! Lots of live rock too, they like to chomp it, it's so funny. It's good for his beak too. Puffers are the best. Maybe give him a snail once in a while.

Puffers are soo great. I would love to get one, but I have inverts. THey dont even ned super water conditions either, which is awesome. Yea, give him a varied diet. Puffers are easy to feed. I would love ti vary my lions diet, but he wont eat anything else, just silversides. I gotta get him on prawn soon. Wow, now Im gonna have to go and get that 30 Gallon Tank just for a puffer. All by himself... LOL. If he gets too big, hell go in the 55, at the loss of many inverts.
:nervous: They are the GREATEST fish.

To feed my puffer I put the krill in this plant that I have to make it stay down. If it is not down on something then it will just float away and get stuck in a filter. The only problem with doing that is that he eats away at the plant looking for more food. My plant is starting to look all deformed and I am afraid that he will eat away the play with has three corals on it. Is there any way to hold the food down without having to put it in the plant or is there another way to feed him? He wont just take it out of my hand so I need to find some kind of solution for him to eat.
Thanx Gabby
