Ok here is an update. My coral was looking like mega crap. ONe of the polups was even melting off. Now as the numbers work themselves out it seems like it is coming back very slowly. I did a 33 gallon change of water and that seemed to revitalize everything. My fish are doing great and the snails are doiing their thing. One of two fireshrimp shed its shell and I havent see it for a day. The other is doing its thing along with the coral banded shrimp. I did notice that my yellow tang and my two clownfish stay together like crazy. Most of the day I would say they are no more than 4 inchs apart at any point in time.

I think every one has covered you issues that you have. I would like to add that you should read, read and when your done read some more. Please never add any chemicles to your tank that you cant test for. try to get into the habit of testing your levels at the same time of day, everytime you test. I test my levels late after noon or early evening. Read up on testing ph and what your lighting has to do with it. I wont get into what happens here but ph will be low first thing in the morning and high in the evening. if you buffer in the morning to raise ph you might over do it. Please read about it very important...
remember every time you add something new to your tank it comes with its own bioload and everything in your tank has to adjust to the newcomer. some things have a heavier bioload than others..
You need to shop around for a tank that you can use as a hospital. IMO, it should be a used 30 gal at least if you are going to have any larger fish in it. Smaller would be fine if you are only housing smaller fish.. ask your LFS for one it should be cheap doesnt need to be running all the time. I would paint the outside, bottom, sides and back so the fish would not get any reflection inside the tank and cause any undue stress. Leave the front open to be able to see the fish. You dont need a strong light, and for the fish it would be better if they didnt have any light on.
Use caution when it comes to adding chemicles for parrisites I would not be adding chemicles to the DT in now way shape or form period. read about using correct salt levels to kill ICH if thats what you have. some inverts cant handle the lower levels that it take to kill it. same as the live rock.
I think I covered what I wanted to say. sorry to hear that your having this problem and Please dont let this stop you from this hobbie alot of it is a learning experience we all have been there at one time. Some advise that you get here is very blunt and to the point.. GOOD LUCK, hope it works for you.. Brian
