My powerheads fell

This morning I woke up and saw that two of my PHs fell and blew the sand everywhere in my 55 but my clowns didn't seem to even notice
. Do I need to be worried of a nitrate jump? I put all the sand back the way it was and blew it off the LR, should I do any other damage control or am I done?

You should be fine. What you can do is glue the powerhead to one of them magnete glass cleaners and get away from the suction cups.

After awhile the cups get slimy & loose there grip, they need cleaning every once & awhile. Go with the magnet trick as StingrayJs sugested or you can buy magnets made for power heads.

Give it a couple days and check them. My PH did the same thing last month and though my Trates were rising anyway, they went to 160ppm from 40ppm in 48hrs. Almost a month later w/ weekly WC's, I'm still at 80ppm and have pulled all the sponges,bio-balls, and filter pads. JME
Still blowing sand out of the LR.

FYI, choose the magfloats that are designed for the thickness of your tank. I bought the small ones for my MJ900's and didn't even realize the magnets aren't as strong so they barely, just barely hold on through the glass.
