sweet,
tank looks awesome as usual! I always refer people to look at yours for ideas, hope ya don't mind lol
I have a q....do you test for iodine? I add a teaspoon every week, but have no where near the bioload you have.
Lately, my zoos look a little crappy. Any ideas?

nope i dont test for it pretty much goes away in a week thats way alot of ppl do weekly water change when i do monthly changes..Hmmm as far as the zoos somtimes they just do that mine somthimes close for a day are so then back better than ever and also things crawling on them etc...How is your water readings? Also i keep my salt right at 23 -24 no higher like they say for a reef 24 are higher salinity but mine does great at from 22-24 right in that ball park because fish like it lower then corals so i try and meet them both half way..Some of my friends with fowlr keep theres at 18-20

Is it just me or does a Salinity of 23-24 sound a little on the low side? I thought 30-40ppt was the most confortable range for fish and inverts. I was just cuirous where you read that fish like their salinity lower. Yes marine fish can withstand a greater range of salinity then inverts and corals.
I have heard of seawater being dilute in estuaries to about 15ppt but never for a reef tank.
Im not trying to knock you. I am just curious....
