do you like the aquascaping? do i need more LR?
can i add live sand now? or after it cycles?how many lbs do you think will be good?

IMO, I would say that you should get more LR but I like to have my tank a little on the full side. I don't know anything about LS but somebody else should be able to help you with it.

Looks good. Definitely get at least another 20lbs of LR. As for the LS you could add a 20lb bag and you should be good to go. Now is the time to add it before you start stocking any fish or coral. Lighting looks sufficient. You may want to lower it a few inches if your not experiencing any heat issues. Good luck and keep the pics coming.

im gunna go get the LS today, and maybe another 20 lbs of LR. if i dont get the LR today then i might stay home from school tomorrow and go to fishtown and get the kailini LR. i aslo need to get a skimmer and some new test kits. im pretty sure my cycle has started already because the LR smelt really bad, and now my the media in my overflow is smelling even worse.
i only had the MH on for about 3 hrs yesterday and there were no heat issues, today im leaving them on all day so ill see if theres any heat problems when i get home.
anybody else?

Great looking tank so far.
The piece of rock all the way on the right is sweet!
The flatter shelf-like surfaces will make it easy to find places to station your corals, or at least the ones that will need to be closer to the lighting.
This just my opinion of course, but I think a few nice pieces of Tonga branch liverock would really dress it up. Smaller fish enjoy it too, since it gives them "holes" to swim through or places for hiding / sleeping / and protection.

ill check out the tonga branch, its just a matter of what my lfs has because i like to pick out the pieces rather than order on the internet and not know what shapes ill be getting.

Get 25-30 more lbs. of live rock, definitely paint the back of the tank for a background, and 20 lbs. of live sand should do the trick since you already have a 2 inch sandbed.
