My salinty?

For my hospital tank what should be the right salinty?

If you are not housing any fish in the hospital tank then you can keep it at normal levels from 1.021 to 1.025. Once you quarenteen a fish if you are treating with hypo-salinity then you bring the salinity down in stages to 1.009, preferably by use of a refractometer. don't just dump a fish into a 1.009 salinity Q-tank.

oh ok but when i buy a new fish how long should i leave him in the qt tank for?

4 weeks is usually recomended. I think that is the life cycle of Ich.
As waterfaller1 said you should read the sticky in the disease forum. It's right at the top.

Click on "user cp" up top...then on "Edit Options". Towards the bottom you will see "Avatar". Upload a picture or link it from your website. Picture size has to be less than 50x50 pixels.
