my shrimp has black spots

I'm having a hard time finding an answer. One thread said its almost always fatal, the others say It will be fine after molting. I can set my calander by his molts-every eight days. He acts fine, eating and very active but he will not molt again until wed. Any thoughts?

He shouldn't be molting that often...Check your Iodine level.

I don't test for iodine. I was under the impression that shrimp were supposed the molt quite often while they are young. Are you thinking my iodine may be too high or too low?

A high Iodine level causes them to molt alot. It can kill them.

they should molt about every 3 weeks or so.
