my sump is leaking what can i do?

my sump on my newly set-up tank is leaking. it is leaking out the bottom some where. i emptied it and resiloconed it yesterday and it is still leaking. is there anything else i can do? it leaks about a half gallon a day. just enough to keep the wood wet.

did you build the sumps external boddy yourself or was it prebought? if pre bought I would return it

get a new one. You will have a heart attack trying to seal it. just my $.02

so i took down my 29 gallon tank today and i want to use it as a sump. i had to break the 38 gallon out of the stand in peices but the 29 gallon slid right in. now next question. i cut the baffels out of the ould sump and now need to put them in the new sump. How do i get the bubble trap only one inch. apart and still be able to silicon them in. my hands are to big and good advise. i am sure there is a trick to it i dont know yet.

Ive never built one but how about a block of wood to space it and hold it in place

yeah how do you get silicon in to the 1 in. space.
