My Sump Plan

Here is my idea on the sump. If you see any flaws or suggestions please let me know. I will be starting on it this week.

might I suggest putting the return line from the skimmer on the other side of the sump to make sure you don't recycle clean water?

I want the skimmed water to return and pass through the bubble trap. The diagram is not to scale.

Well here is an idea then, why not put a T section on the pipe draining from tank and hook the skimmer into that insuring no reprocessed water? Another idea is to find a way to put the skimmer's output directly into the refugium. That is how I have mine, the only problem is as you said, bubbles.

I have the refugium in place. It is aprox 26 gallons. A friend gave me some miscut white cast acrylic that I am using for the dividers. I still need to let the silicon cure, then start on the other dividers. I have not worked on it very much lately due to other priorities in the home......
