I just wanted to hear your comments on my set up so far. I'm in the process of making RO water right now. Starting to add a little salt.
anyways, any comments on the sump/ filter welcome. it's what the guy at the shop said i needed.
edit: yes, that IS a motorcycle in the background LOL

I'll rephrase.
Does this filter/ sump look adequate for my tank size? For some reason I've got this feeling that its too small.

anyone??
I still have time to return it, but after today I'm gonna start adding water and get my tank going, so i'll be stuck with it.

From what I have herd bio balls kinda suck. They are more of a head ach but I have never used them personally. You should try removing them and adding live rock in there.

im no pro, but it looks adequate to me. im guessing that the DT is like a 55g? i think everything looks fine. and ive seen alot of success with bio balls, but me personally, would prefer a homemade sump/refugium. it requires less maintenance and if set up right, will keep your tank prestine

It should be fine, honestly. You should just put some filter media on the top of the bioballs and it should be just fine.
The only problem I see is that you don't have space for a fuge or an in-sump protein skimmer. You can always just get a euroreef protein skimmer though. They're awesome.

Thats just a wet/dry. Useless in a tank with enough live rock IMO. You could remove all the bioballs and turn it into a refugium instead.
