Actually I don't know when the tank crashed. I think it might have been last Tuesday or Wednesday. The lfs here does not carry saltwater. Closest place to me is an hour away. I just about have all of the lr out and rinsed (in fresh saltwater) I am typing here in between rinses. I have only been home for two days and have done one water change so far with the second large one coming today.

Okay, well I know i'm stating the obvious, but when you do your second change try to be siponing out any floating dead matter! You may also consider posting on this board and see if there's anyone who lives near you with a reef who'd be willing to hold onto the frag for you. And if you're not already--consider running carbon for a while.

O.k. I just got all of the rock out and my sand bed looks horrible. None of it is white anymore. Its all black and grey. Called my father and his digi cam. isn't working so no luck with a pic.

if it's really been nearly a week that you figure it's been crashed i'd follow Guy's advice in your other thread. Plug your nose...rinse all the sand and start over. Post asking a favor of someone near you to hang on to the sps frag--i imagine there's probably *someone* on here near you. Sorry again :(
