nice
is that an emperor angel? he will outgrow that tank...
i would suggest adding another 100 lbs of LR for more filtration and a fuller look.
look into getting base rock and then putting your LR on top of it to seed, this will be alot cheaper.
why use the wet dry / bio balls? you have LR and a fuge, IMO wet drys are out of date and not needed. you have to clean them as time passes or they became a nitrate trap.

You can get baserock from your LFS or you can make it yourself using quikrete. It is pretty much dry rock that has no life at all, but will be seeding in time by your live rock that is in the tank. I would say you definitely need to increase your flow because it looks to me like you have a lot of cyanobacteria growing in that tank. This is caused by either a nutrient overload (over feeding) or lack of flow, and usually both. I would cut your feeding down some, and maybe even cut your lights down slightly to help. Also, make sure there are no dead spots in the tank as this is where cyanobacteria will thrive. The tank looks good though, and keep up the good work!

Without commenting on the fish selection, since that is really your choice (your tank) here are a few suggestions for you that you can do to make the fish happier, healthier, and live better:
1. Get more live rock and dump the fake biological bacteria. It will make the fish feel more natural and give them a natural food source.
2. Do some water tests and find out where the cyano is coming from. You may need more flow, and make sure to do a phosphate, nitrate, and alkalinity test on your tank and water that you add in the tank.
3. Get rid of the TetraMin food. All it is is junk. If you want to feed flake, use Omega One, Ocean Nutrition, or Hikaria as they are all vitamin-filled natural foods. TetraMin is by-products and filler.

What I mean by fake biological bacteria is this:
If you added more live rock to your aquarium, your water would be better filtered because the bacteria would be right in your tank. The fish would have a natural food source and shelter, and the tank would be more stable because the biological bacteria is right in the tank.
Then, you could take out most of those rings and balls and you would have so much more room for chemical and mechanical filtration (carbon and filter pads).

ok I get what you are saying. I will look into getting more LR and also some base rock. Price of live rock is expensive by me. Thanks for the advice. What do you think the total LBS should be. Also can you give me some info on the koralia pumps. Where to position them. Also I have a aqua clear 50 power head and was thinking of getting a hydra flo. Any thoughts. Thanks
