I recently moved my royal gramma from my 80 to my 10 I figured I did not have to acclimate him since the water was half the same as my DT..what a terrible mistake I made the temp was exactly the same 78F the Salinity was 1.026 and the ph 8.2 I figured I was ok the params of the 10 were good as of a month ago and have been stable for a while..well to continue the sad story the gramma started breathing very heavily and in 35 min. he was on the SB not moving..when i saw he was having trouble and started breathing heavy should I have taken him out and acclimated him to the 10 gal. tank or once you put him in it's too late also when you see a fish breathing heavily can you do anything to help him or save him ?
