Awesome tank, but isn't it a little early to add a fish? I mean you just filled it...no rocks, sand?
You’re not trying to cycle your tank with that sweet little fishy are you?

Nice tank. It is huge. I want to see more pictures of the sump below and the filtration. Is that tank in a Jiffy Lube?

Hi have a couple of hundred pounds of prime fiji live rock ready to go in. I will be going to get my own sand at low tide. I figure about 12 five gallon buckets ought to give me a four inch bed. the lights are going to be switched out to a 2x250 HQI x 2 and two of the actinic bulbs plus moonlights.

sorry just had to see a fish swimming.it was moved later that day. I am closer to adding the rock and sand in that order. The water is identical to the water in my 90. No RO here I pump my own water straight out of the atlantic when the tide is coming in. my LFS also has identical water as our source is the same.

It is a huge wet/dry with double skimmers. I jump started the filter with media from my older established tank. I will get pics tomorrow of the filtration system. I also have a huge four foot UV sterlizer that I will be adding along with a 1HP commecial grade chiller that previously chilled a 400 gallon tank. I got it of ---- used for 100 bucks. so I have about 700 tied up so far. NO jiffy lube. LOL but it is my auto repair shop.

dont you run the risk of contamination by taking both sand and water so close to shore? Even if the tide is comming in, wouldn't that bring all the crap in with it?

Hi I bought this denitrifier to hook to my tank for 50.00 dollars it was used for a whole fish store previously.it is a commercial large system denitrifier. 13gal of honey comb drip media plus 5gal of bio barrels.the best part, no chemicals.with that hooked to my tank it can handle Shamu.
