My turbos are trying to escape!

OK, so I have noticed that 9 of my 10 turbos are at the top of my tank (either on the protein skimmer or on the glass at the top of the water). Is there a reason for this? I checked my water and it is: Am-0, trItes-0, trAtes-.25 (can never get this to 0, and no Bob, I am not going to add plants) ph 8.3, temp. 81.
Am I just over reacting to nothing? Can I move them back to the rocks (where I want them to clean)?
Thanks...

I heard it's their way of simulating the tidal changes in captivity. I wouldn't worry about it until they're on the wrong side of the glass.

the only time i care if they are on the waterline is when i want to do a water change - i just wait for them to go down, or i have to do a slow siphon so they will move down with the water level

Yeah I have the same problem with my snail. One major difference is that mine likes to go in my HOB filter, I found him there this morning. I really never thought a snail would be sooo interesting.

Ok maybe you guys can explain this one. Come home the other day and find one of my snails hanging upside down in the water colum on the surface? Took me a moment but I figured it out. Can you?
In the pic you see the top of the canopy, and the reflection of the canopy, as well as the snail hanging upside down.

Well aparently the power had gone off a few times during the day, and when I came home I could hear the wet/dry sucking air into the aquarium. I fixed that right away and adjusted the ball valve. When I looked up I saw this snail upside down almost walking on the water surface. I couldn't believe it myself. So I opened up the canopy and there is a plastic middle brace on my 90 gallon. You should have heard me laugh at it, all I was thinking was how did that snail ever do that.
Iechy was the closest guess though. couldn't resist taking a pic before taking him down.
