no, the tv works great.
the little one in my bedroom does it from time to time, and is fine.
i just never heard the big one do it.

My TV does that too. Its so loud, that if it happens in the middle of night, it wakes me.
I think its saying....get a flatscreen, get a flatscreen....lol
