Ok, I have two purple tips sebae's. One is in a 30g hex reef with 135w, it is on the bottom, stayed where I put him until yesterday, moved about 3 inch's, I think because fox coral above it has got so big it was shading it. When I got it, it was white, it is now coloring up, tenicles are nice and fat, never shrinks up and seem very happy. I would say now every part of him is getting color. I' had it for about 3 to 4 weeks. The first picture's are of this one.
The third picture is of the one in the 55 reef, with 325 watts. It was white when I got it, I did shade it some for a while because it acted like it didn't like the bright light, it is about half way up the tank inbetween rocks. I did move it there about 1 1/2 weeks ago as I added a bunch of LR, it is not coloring up and doesn't look as good as the one under less light. But doesn't look bad either. Any idea's on this? Everyone says they need MH.....more wattage.....but this one is proving to be the different I guess. All lights are new, coralite brand.

I kept one for over 10 years under two NO 40w bulbs, a Hagen AquaGlo and a Magtinic. It grew to fill the whole open area on the bottom.

Ok, now the little bugger is moving around the rock base. I will be very mad if it moves behind and I can't see it, why oh why can't they just stay where we put them.....it sure is coloring up nice though.
It reminds me of my 15yr old son........thinks he's 25 and doesn't have to listen anymore.......in his own world.
I know they will just move when they want to, this guy had been in this one spot for a long time, wonder what makes them just up and move on......? Oh well, maybe it will just move around the rock base and land back where it started.... :hilarious As it is in a hex tank.
