k, my tanks been up since august 20 of this year...
pH: 8.2
ammonia: 0
trates: 0
trites:0
sg: 1.027 (it's on it's way down... it was up to 1.031 :scared: )
that's all i can test for...but i haven't had any problems yet! :jumping:

the only problem is, i can't afford one! i can't afford anything right now, but my r/o water from walmart...

how much for your Ipod. check out www.auctionmills.com for Ipods.
you definatly need a calcium test kit.. unless you want to guess what it is.. Make sure you do a 10% water change to help replenish calcium levels

Corals need calcium, fish do not. Don't need to test for cal. unless you have corals .IMO
Then again, you should not havecorals if you set it up in Aug.

my iPod is a brand new, 60 gb photo from apple's website...
i do have pulsing xenias in my tank...
my mom helped me set it all up, with water and lr from one of her tanks, and i never noticed a cycle, i test my water every week, usually once, but sometimes more.
i do about 10% water changes every week, with the Nutri-SeaWater.
oh, and my tank is 5 gal (it's in my dorm!), i have a false percula, pink button brittle star, and 3 hermit crabs in there, along w/ the dozen or so tiny baby snails that came outta no where...

checking out that site now... i was going to be paying 369 from apple w/ my student discount.
