Myspace anyone?

I cannot explain to the fullest extent my desire to eliminate myspace from the face of this earth. I absolutely despise everything to do with that online popularity contest.
I'll exercise some restraint here and quit my complaining.

Its only a popularity contest if that is how you want to use it. Personally I think it is a great tool to keep in touch with old friends that I dont see anymore.

Despite your negativity towards Christmas lol...I'm going to have to agree with you!! It’s sad that it gets more hits than google!
My brother says he goes on myspace to "check his homework"
it consumes a young persons life!

I probably wouldn't want my kids on myspace but I think it's a great place for adults to network and catch up with old friends.
I didn't realize it was a popularity contest? I guess it is what you make of it.

Couldn't agree more DeMartini. Another one of those mainstream, "hip" things that seem to be designed exclusively to seduce impressionable young people, trap them in it's embrace, then leach the life out of them slowly making them mindless simpletons obsessed with their current "cool" thing.
Plus all i've ever heard or seen in relation to myspace is the endless amount of emo tards with infinite problems and a burning desire to be pitied by everyone. That reminds me of a funny quote I saw - "I wish my hair were emo so it would cut itselft."
For those that aren't teeny-boppers or emo tards and use myspace like Jmick, apologies for bashing it. But sweet jesus, there are so few of you I can't help but loathe it.

I really only talk to family and some close friends on myspace (all 27 or older) and I just looked around a little bit and wow it's kind of sad to see all the kids who are carbon copies of each other.

The funny thing about these carbon copy kids is that individuality is supposedly what drives them to be who they are.

My wife recently got into myspace and she is using it to reconnect with old friends and stuff like that. It's a good reason to use it, but still she is super addicted. She'll come home from work or school and say she's got a million things to do tonight. But she wants to get on myspace while she eats or something. Then she ends up spending pretty much all night on myspace instead of doing the million things she had to do. I think it's excessive. It's OK to catch up a little, but if they weren't important enough to have been in your life outside of myspace just how important can they really be? Most of these people she hadn't talked to in years until she found myspace.

Yes! I had an account, and i would check it like 49357234676373 times a day. It's like a high school in a computer...i swear just as much drama happens on myspace.

ah yes myspace (yes i have one) i use it to keep in contact with friends who live out of state or country and everything on it is set to private so unless your my friend you cant see i mayb check it once a week but for most of the young generation it is like smoking a cigarette one time and you could be addicted.

I use it to talk to friends in the lower 48. I work swings and am 3 or 4 hours behind everyone else anyway. It's hard to talk on the phone when it's convenient for me but 1am there.
But I do agree, a lot of valuable time can be lost on myspace if you're not careful. I fall victim to it myself sometimes.
