so today when i got home, i turned my aquarium light on and all my fish were fine, but my sailfin tang had a slice in his fin( the large one on the bottom)
he is not hurt he just isnt as attractive now. i think this was due to my water circulation he always swims into the current coming from my outtake on my wetdry i tried moving it but i wudnt stay. do u think there is any other reason for his fin to be like this? also any suggestions on trying to position my outake cuz i cant do it

I doubt the current ripped the fin, it sounds more like aggression, what else is in the tank, and how big is the tank?

72 gallon( i know small for a sailfin) volitan lion arrow crab some hermits coral banded shrimp and maroon clown i actally believe the maroon clown did it cuz the tang went near his host anemone and the clown went after him a little, but didnt bit him, but i am still not sure
oh and a tassled filefish the lion is three inches so in the clown the filefish is about an inch and the sailfin is like two inches long and two high due to the tall fins

I would agree with the maroon clown. They can be really agressive and they tend get get meaner as they grow.

yes Maroon Clownfish are quite the bullies:),hopefully the Maroon won't cause too much trouble,A thing that worked for me was putting a mirror on side so the Maroon clown will see himself and it will get focused on the mirror instead of your Sailfin.

his anemone is usually in the front of the tank so do i hav to put the mirror on the front of the tank? im hoping the clown will get used to the tang soon
