Mysterious white tentacles from the deep...

Can someone ID this for me. There are about five of these tentacles that extend from one piece of LR during the feeding period. Bad guys or good guys?

So, somewhere in that rock there is the "star" body and it can also see the food at feeding time and it extends its tentacles? That's a badass starfish!
