Hey guys... I'm assuming this is some type of leather coral? but can anyone tell me exactly what kind? Also, the care it needs -
Any info would be greatly appreciated... I've never had this type before- I wish they actaully told you what it was when they send it!
It also is not uniform in color, so I'm concerned that it might be on it's way out...
Thanks!
Tim

well, I just got it.... (it was the mystery coral from SWF.com) - It's starting to brown-up a bit and reach toward the light...

I would guess a Devil hand leather, poor guys seems to be bleached. if he is browning up and reaching up then that a real good sign.

Looks like Devil's hand to me (Lobophytum sp.)
Medium to high lighting, medium to strong current to slough off shedding. Be aware that leather coral emit toxins that may be detrimental to any SPS coral. If you can place it wher the current would push anything from it directly to the filter intake without going by any SPS that would be best.
