Mystery coral--mystery growth

Got this mystery coral from swf.com--not sure what it is, but it's done well--but this weekend we noticed some new, white, almost cocoon-like growths appeared. Sorry for the poor picture quality, but can anyone identify the coral and the white things? Thanks

Pic is kinda small...BUT....I think they are brown palythoas
and the white could be sponge

Thanks--I hope you're right--I think--lol..sponges aren't bad, right? They seem to have an opening at the end

Opening at the end is probably not sponge....LOL.....is it soft?
altho it could still be sponge...LOL...or hard it could be a vermitid snail.....or a tunicate HAHA

not really soft--I moved the rock with the coral on it and a couple of them fell off--scooped one up with a net--not rock-hard, but not spongy soft either
