Myxazin?

Hi Guys,
When talking to my friendly LFS they said that when they have flatworm, they use a freshwater product called Myxazin....anyone ever used this to treat flatworm before?

this is what they said on the website, nothing particular about worms though.....
MYXAZIN - broad spectrum bactericide.
MYXAZIN lowers the count of harmful bacteria in aquarium water, treating Fin Rot, Body Rot, Ulcers, Sores and other bacterial infections. MYXAZIN will also help to control Pop - Eye Disease, Cloudy Eyes and Mouth Fungus.
MYXAZIN should be used daily until symptoms disappear (typically this would be between 3 and 5 applications).
MYXAZIN can also be used to sterilise nets and live foods such as Daphnia and Tubifex, for treating Whitespot in seawater aquaria containing invertebrates. MYXAZIN is mild on fish, highly biodegradable and effective against a wide range of fish health problems.
Suitable for seawater, tropical freshwater and coldwater aquaria.

what are the ingredients? I'll bet that its got copper in it.

no its got no copper, checked that out, the manufacturers so say it is a good treatment for whitespot in a marine tank (not that I would use it for that).

It probably has a broad spectrum (both gram negative and positive) anti-biotic in it.
I personally do not see how that would effect worms though? Other then killing bacteria, one would have to question the logic behind that tidbit of advice.

Hi guys,
Well Ive actually just phoned my usual online supplier here in UK who i trust 100% and they told me before i mentioned that product that that is what they use and works everytime. So as I cant get any other product im going to have to use this one. However I will do safe in their confidence that it will work.
I dont understand it either, but it does work apparently!

It worked fine when my freshwater discus got a Fluke...Im not certain about marines.

If you are set on nuking your tank, get some salifert flatworm exit. It has gotten good reviews and the company is a reputable marine company.

LOL well Myxazin isnt really nuking it, more of as last diplomatic stance, its very harmless to fish.
Well I dont think I can get it in this country, but I will actively search for it if this doesnt work, but im confident it will.
