i have about 10lbs of live rock in my tank for about 7 months and nothing has grown on it.
At my LFS there's have lots of stuff on it. Does anyone have any suggestions on if my water is probably deprived of something that they need to grow? or some additive that i could purchase to help to grow? :happyfish

That Kent product is just a buffer for alkalinity, your coraline algae growth will result in elevated calcium levels and lighting. Now without getting into the whole "you can't elevate your KH w/o elevating your calcium" debate, your LFS is maintaining their systems with elevated levels. Keep your tank at a good "reef temp" (subjective I know), dKH 8-12, ca 400 with good lighting and your bound to have all the coraline algae your free time will allow you to scrap.

I honestly think that the key to corraline algae is the level you keep your alkalinity. I keep mine at 11. I have more than I wanted, but love the look of it. My calcium is kept at 420-450. I try not to go below 420. Water changes are your best friend when it comes to corraline and anything growing for that matter.
Test your top off water, you may need to buffer it.
