I have had this skimmer for years and the impeller has broken. It does not say the name on the skimmer or pump. If it helps, it has a needle wheel impeller. Thanks

Looks like the 125 and 220 use the same impeller. Not sure about the 65 gallon though.

Def not a coralife..looks like maybe a knock off of one though
here is what the coralife looks like..The cup is different and so is the tube where the water feeds in.

Hmm you could be right there. Do you know if they have made any slight design changes from the past

that is 100% the old coralife 125 superskimmer.
I was gonna say an older CL SS also. It's a 125 because of the shape/size of the collection chamber. CL has made a few slight changes in there skimmers in the past years. I found that out after I did a ton of research because my tank came with an older CL SS 65 that looks a little different from the 65 out now.

you guys realize that SEVERAL brands sold this skimmer at one point or another. I dont know what the "old" coralife version looks like (not that I dont believe you, they ALL look to be made by the same factory. cant say I've ever seen an "old style" coralife) but I dont know how one determines if its 100% the old coralife, the pacific coast or the catalina. also coralife sold these in three sizes but the other companies sold them in about 5 different sizes. I've had my coralife 125 well over 2yrs and it still looks like the current one.
this is the Pacific coast version (PS series PS350 shown)

this is the catalina version ( Super Vortex series 1002 shown)

and the curent coralife version

The skimmer is about five or six years old. If I could figure out what size pump to put on it, I would just put a new one on it. I had problems with that pump from day one. Thanks for all your input.

any needlewheel pump in the 500gph (water only) range will make a suitable replacement. ocean runner 1700, octopus OTP 2000, sedra 5000 would be examples.

its the cone inside the collection cup that gives away that its the coralife. if you notice other than slight modifications the chasis are the same but each cup has a distinct difference to each brand. and it wouldnt suprise me at all to learn if they were all made by the same 20 individuals in the same factory, with just minor differences specific to the brand name and whatever patent they want to throw on the device.

I now have come to realize I have been in this hobby wayyyyyy too long
