Names?

I know that it's bad luck to name a fish, but does anyone name theirs?

We name our fish and never had bad luck with them. lol
Our clown fish are named Coral and Marlin, our tang is Blade, the coral beauty is named beauty, our sand sifting star fish is named float, and our cleaner shrimp are mr and mrs jauk.

About 5 or 6 years ago, my brother named like 6 goldfish and they all died.

My fish have no official names, but if someone asked, these are hte names.
Tiger Pistol Shrimp - Magnum
Yellow Watchman Goby - Dart
False Percula Clown - Bobn'Weave
PJ Cardinal - :sleepy:

yup we name ours too. we have jugglo (clown fish) gladiator (domino) gramma ( royal gramma) scooter (scooter blenny) sitck boy (arrow crab) nubbs (cucumber) sargent (choco chip starfish) blue (damsel)
some arent original, but they are all named

I never heard it was bad luck before. My daughters named alsomt all of our fish. Clown is Nemo, Cleaner shrimp is Jaque Strap, Yellow Tang is Bubbles, Lawn mower blenny is Mr Clean,
Firefish Gobie is Tweek, Yellow watchman gobie is Butters, Mandarin Dragonet is BoBo Powers. Thats about all the ones they have named.

Every fish that I have ever had has been named. I could list them for you, but with all my tanks and all my fish it would take a long time...

I will say that my serpent star is named Scoundrel because he made a lunch out of Cabbage the lettuce nudibranch. And I used to have a big blue damsel named King (he thought he was a king anyway).

I have Cora and of course Nemo, the 2 Percs, five chromis who we just call "the babies" and a new Coral Beauty we named Condoleeza after the woman who will be our first female President!
....and you might remember my firefish named Richard! He jumped...

Richard? Mine was named Blaze. He didn't make it when I moved the tank from upstairs to downstairs...I guess the move stressed him out too much.

Same goes for "Hoover." Every hungry fish named Hoover is in the fish tank is Heaven now.

My 6 year old daughter has names for all
Solar Wrasse is called "my little cutie pie"
The Hippo tang is "Dori".... of course
The Cherub is "Sally"
The Six line is "Ho Ho's"
The Royal Gramma is "Angel"

I never name mine....when i do, they die....its very wierd.

I only named one. Well actually my girlfriend at the time named it and it stuck. Now its the only fish in the tank she cares about. Flame Angle - Herb

all my critters are named after tv cops. pepper the clownfish, crockett the orchid dottyback, starsky and hutch the cleaner shrimp. buford the emerald crab, the list goes on....
