The guys loaded the tank into my truck till the house is closer to being done. Now on with plumbing, electric, drywall, and everything else that goes with it. Probably 3 months till start up, I can't wait. I'll just keep reading and leaning. Hope you all enjoyed the pics so far.

Wow, this is probably the smartest idea yet... Just let the builders make a spot for your tank!

This is going to be very nice. I love the angle on the canopy...
What rooms does this tank divide?

If I could, I would love to do something like that, problem is, I live in an apartment, and I think I'd get evicted if I did that ><...can't wait to see that completed. Have you decided on reef or FOWLR?

Looks like this is going to be a very nice set up!
The electrical will depend upon a lot of what equipment you are going to use in your setup. I would want at least three circuits for this setup, lights, pumps, and misc. equipment. Better to have too much than come up short after you have finished. You should make sure that all of the lumber, above and below the tank get sealed and resealed to avoid rotting from the water.
Will your equipment be located below the tank?

S.W Seas who will be helping to install it tells me that it will be a closed loop and most things will be remoted into the garage. I'm still not 100% sure what all that means. Thanks

Haven't written in a while, nothing new happening with my tank waiting for the house to get done. Having patience has begun. But I have been doing lots of reading on the boards and reseaching lites, lites and more lites. I am waiting on a quote from a Tucson store for the Solaris lighting. We are doing so much to this new house in regards climate control that the heat i've been hearing the MH's give off is a concern. So, hopfully we can see if the Solaris will payoff in the long run.........WE will see.......

I was afraid of the heat issues with MHs too, but I now have two MHs for my 6' tank with Mini-Luminarc Reflectors (this allow me to just have 2 instead of 3) and NO chiller. I just have a fan blowing accross the top of my tank when the lights are on. My tank has never been over 82 in the middle of summer. My house AC is set at 78. I love the shimmer the MHs give off and the way my tank looks now.

Hi I am back, it has been awhile, I did get overwelmed with the new house and new tank, trying to read, read, read and read more to get it right. I now have some pics to post where I left off. I hope it looks good.
ps any people in the photos are not me, they helped to set tank up.
starting off with blue liner on the bottom of tank for any imperfections in the wood stand, drain upder stand

Photos show caulking being done around all bulk heads. Formation being done on the overflow box, using a insulaton foam to make it look much better than plain plastic. Last photo is adding of the Arrangonite sand.
