So you do not use anything other than the parts you mentioned above? No other organisms like snails or anything else? Do you do a partial water change from time to time? If so it would be helpful to know how frequently?
Yeah, that is all I use when it comes to mechanical equipment. I do not use snails or crabs on my aggressive tanks (Niger Trigger, Humu Humu Trigger). I do use them where I have a Yellowstripe Maroon, Damsels, Firefish and other peacefull fish. I have about 3 hermit crabs, and depending on how much algea (on the glass) I get I use Turbo Snails. I have no more than 3 of them. I clean the glass every other week, does nt get really measy either. I can send you a mini video of some of the tanks I have if you want to see them. Just let me know if you have an email account, and I will send you some.
