Does anyone here have the 12 gal deluxe nano cube??
The one I am talking about comes with 2 24 watt 50/50 pc lights, built in fans, 2 led blue lights for night time??
I would really appreciate any and all info from anyone whom has a tank like this or has had one.
I currently have the "regular" 10 gal and have no problems at all but thought that this nano cube is so neat looking.
Appreciate all info......

In general all nanos/cubes function the same what sort of info are you looking for? As a general rule the smaller the tank the more maintenance you will need. IMO they all function well and most people modify them to a certain degree. There are numerous threads describing all that people have done to their nanos. If you are more specific we can try and help but there is soooo much info about these tanks and what is possible it would take a long time to cover a broad question like that.

it's going to depend on what you like, and from there most people just modify everything else. personally, for the price, i like the aquapod 12. 129.99 and like 12 dollars for shipping. i have a 10 also, but i like the way the all-in-one tanks look. you'll probably end up with less than 12 gallons. you have 12 gallons total but don't forget that there's a rear compartment where the water flows to, so that might take away some from your actual display..

Thanks for the replies. That is what I was thinking too about the 12 gal in total. They seem so much smaller than an actual 10 gal with all the stuff inside. I have done some searching about the Nano Cubes with very mixed results. Alot of people don't like them and do alot of modifications to them. Not what I am looking for.
I love the nano size tanks and started with my 10 gal then moved everything to my 25 gal. If I were to have stayed with the 25 gal I would have had to invest alot in the way of new lighting in it. I love my freshwater tanks too and decided that the 10 gal was more my thing and find it "very easy" to maintain. Three years now with it and all is just fine.
I think i have to learn that, "when all is working find leave it alone"...

This is what is happening in my 10 gal at the moment. I have mushrooms as big as my hand, a toadstool that is growing like crazy, a bubble tip anemone for my one and only fish a maroon clown that is now tripled in size. It is one happy healthy tank.
I just really like the look of the cubes but I think I will pass on it as the lights here in Canada to replace in them are dear in price too.
Thanks for all the info ........

i agree that they look small, even smaller than a 10, but i like the way they look still. if you're into DIYing, like most people are, then those all-in-one tanks would be good. i just like the idea of having everything there; lights, fans, rear compartment you can turn into a refugium, being able to upgrade the lights, etc. theres websites to buy the lights, ballasts, and anything else you need to modify your nano, so it makes it easier to find the things you need.
what kind of lighting do you have over the 10? do you have any pics of the bta?

I am using power compacts over my tank that gives 3 watts per gal. When I bought this anemone is was the size of quarter but a tiny bit bigger, now it is 3 times that size when fully open.
Many would say that these lights are not good enough but it keeps on growing, has never left the rock it was bought in, the clown feeds it all the time very neat to watch so best to leave things alone when they work for ya.
Here are a few older pictures of my clown and the anemone. First picture is of when I first bought the anemone. I thought she was going to love it to death. The other two pictures are about 2 months later and now I need to take a more updated one.
What I am going to do though is keep on looking for different lights for this tank. What i have has been working really well, I think because the 10 gal are not really deep. I like the canopy look as that is what I currently have and this tank is in our living room.
The Nano Cube here in our store is 259.00 CDN and then I get a discount but don't know what that would be unless I was really interested. The replacement bulbs for it are about 50.00 CDN each. Ordering from the USA does not save me much as the shipping is very dear then the risk of breaking the bulbs too. So sometimes it is a no win situation.

i have a 70w metal halide fixture over my 10, but i'm not really keep anything besides zoos, so its a waste. at least your anemone is doing well. what are you going to do when it gets too large for the ten?

Going to keep it and probably have to take the other stuff to the LFS. Have to keep the clown happy you know....

I hope it does not grow that fast, I really enjoy it alot along with my toadstool as they sway in the wate current. I love the mushrooms too. Will have to wait and see how everything grows though before I make any decisions.
Today I recieved a phone call from one of our stores here that I buy from. They ordered in some green clown gobies and wanted to know if I would like one. I think that would be war in the tank with the maroon what do you think??

In a 10 gal I think your asking for trouble.. Maroons are pretty territorial to begin with and with the size tank you have, I can forsee lots of issues.

don't get anything else for that tank. maroons are large as it is, and with the bta it's not going to have as much room. i had 2 gold stripe maroons that came with my 28, and they were getting big, not to mention you could tell the male hated being in there so i traded them out. i think you're honestly going to have to get a larger tank or trade it out if you want to add more fish to it.

Decided not to add anything else. The little goby would not have a chance in there and I don't like to see things like this. What I might look at is a 5 gal for a goby or something small like this. They are way to cute to be pestered.
I know that maroons are aggressive. When I feed or go near the tank she will dance in the front and try attacking the glass as she protects her anemone, full of personality they sure are.
Will leave well enough alone in this tank.....
