What do you mean, you only have a few? Bioballs? I put in a couple of jars of Seachem's Matrix, a Seachem Purigen bag and some filter/foam floss over them. I'm, also, going to add a bag of activated charcoal after the filter cart. that came with the cube can't be cleaned anymore. Remember, I had that laying on top of the grate of chamber #2. Since the weather has been so warm out here, I've been floating a plastic tub of ice thru the top feeder hatch to keep the temp at 82. It fits there perfectly and just the bottom of the tub hits the surface of the water. It's been working great at keeping the temp down. It sits on the edges between the opening. I've heard that micro bubbles aren't good for a reef tank, but when I do get them they haven't hurt anything yet. Because of what I now have in the #2 chamber, I don't have any noisy water sounds either. I have had to adjust the sponge next to the pump once to allow the water to flow better.
