Nano Macros - Soon to be Mantis species tank

Decided to convert this to a Mantis tank, can't wait to get on of the little best so that I can get some incredible shots, they are ultra cool critters!

Just noticed that the images were kinda blurry, then I figured out that I forgot to turn the pumps off....argh...I'll reshoot and you can see the difference.

I'm still on this massive learning curve with respect to photography. Now that I've somewhat learned the basics about Fstop, i'm onto exposure compenstion, what a difference this makes....Once you master the depth of field then it's onto light/dark....Pretty much shoot everything in manual or over ride in manual foucs.....

Even though this is a little dark, it was intentional. I like the composition and trying to setup some staged shots with more of this black background effect.

Yeah,....Arrived as a hitchhiker on a trade, kinda cool looking and they grow rather fast, I have to nuke them everyonce in while with a kalk bomb to keep them in check, otherwise the yellow polyps get ticked with having competition

Nice shots. Whatever you end up putting in there will still pale in comparison to the coral collection.

Wow, that tank sure is gorgeous!

I'd hate to see it ruined by a Mantis, though.
Do you plan on moving anything out of the tank?
I have a Peacock Mantis, and although I love "Milton" to pieces, I can't keep anything with him except LR and dead coral, as he is constantly re-arranging and thumping at the LR and coral to get it to just the right size.
Someone on -- has a Mantis who has torn her zoo's apart in his/her quest to get the right rock going in his/her aquascaping.
If you don't care that your zoo's, corals, etc. are going to get tossed around, then hey, awesome... but if you do, you might want to either re-consider getting the Mantis, or move the corals elsewhere.

one of the nicest nanos here...the zoas are incredible...a mantis will complete the look for sure..they are definitely an interesting creature!
