can a 14 gallon biocube house a 1/2 blue tang for a period of time before he grows out of the tank? if so how long? how big can he get before i take him out? also, will he only grow to the tank size if you buy him as a juvi???
please dont put a hippo in a 14 gal.
he will get stressed and might get ick and you regret it if you are still getting into the hobby
the lease i would put one in is a 4 ft tank and only for a limited amount of time
Rolf try 1/5of a inch and people would still complain! Don't out of all the popular fish, tangs need among the most swimming room.
It was a mistake when I put one in my tank*2 inches*
First off, i'd like to see this half inch blue tang. Usually the smallest ones you see in stores or even at wholesalers are at least 1.5 inch, minimum. Chances are he's a lil bigger than you approximated. I wouldnt, put it this way, even if you were an infant, would you want to live in your bathroom for the first 3 years of your life?
....didn't think so. Just admire the larger fish and stick to small gobies/clowns/blennies and such.

This is a myth. Fish will continue to grow to their maximum length, or they will at least die trying.
