Nano Powerhead Questions

I have a 12 gallon nano cube and I removed to old powerhead and replaced with a Maxi-Jet 1200 I still have areas that are not getting enough water exchange so I would like to know what else I can buy or do t create more movement. Any suggestions>

hace you tried the hydor flo deflectors before and if so do you like it. I think the other powerhead will be to big for my tank.

I went a different route than a huge PH.
I bought more of the 1/2" black connecting tubing, and added a second nozzle to split the flow from the PH.
This way, I didn't have an ugly PH in the tank, and I was still able to get flow along the bottom of the back that I wanted.

Do you have a picture of that set up? I was thinking of doing something similar but with 1/2'' PVC tubing and connect them to make a U shape then drill small holes in it so water can eject out all over creating a current then attach it to the Original outlet of the Nano Cube where I will then replace the old powerhead with the maxi jet. I am not sure if it will work but when I move I will do a build tread and see if it works.

Have to be careful of the heat a large PH can generate in such a small tank. A Maxijet 900 as the main pump and a couple nano koralins is probably the best way for anything under 14gl.

I have a mj 900, and a koralia 1 in mine. Flow is excellent and the tank getting too hot is not a concern
Not to say that will work for you, but just wanted to give you another example. I have a biocube 14 by the way.

The only thing about the koralia nanos is they use the same amount of power as a koralia 1, and they don't have the same manueverability(sp?) they aren't able to be angled the same as the k 1. JME
