Hey I was looking into getting a cheap skimmer for my JBJ nano cube(24g). I found the Current USA Fission nano skimmer. not sure if it would fit or how it would work with my system. Anyone have any expirence with these little buggers?
its made for the bio cube but can also be used in other tanks as an in tank with suction cups or you can work it into one of the chambers of your pod. IMO it will work just fine...
I bought a fission for my 29gl and even though it worked to a point it was difficult to keep it running consistantly due the slight flux in water level from evaporation and typical maintnance needs. Also micro-bubbles are pretty much always present in the tank. IMO try somthing else.

yea the fission skimmer works on a venturi set up. The new Bio Cube skimmer works off of an air stone. A simpler set up and a better one for this specific application IMO
The bio cube skimmer doesnt give dimensions on the box but I measured it. Its approx 9 to 9-1/2" tall the diameter of the reaction chamber is approx 2" and the collection cup fits on the top but has a oval shape adding another 1-1/4" to the width from the top of the skimmer and that added width extends down approx 2-1/2" . Hope this helps.
Hey what is the name of the oceanic one. I tried looking at the oceanic site and they only had one up to 65g, Which I think is a little big for a nano.
