Hello
I've had my 20 gallon long going for about 9 months now. It has 130 PC lighting 33 lbs of live rock and 40 lbs of live sand.
Currently house zoos, crocea clam, 2 clownfish, 3 snails, fighting conch, 7 small hermits.
Been using a SKILTER
I don't really skim too much. COuple of weeks ago i removed the filter pad and went with some LR rubble about a pound worth.
Just checks stats and they were 0 nitrates, 0 ammonia, 0 nitrite. PH was 8.3 Salinity 1.026
I qould like to add a hammer coral or frogspawn.
DO you think current setup will remain stable without any carbon and no skimmer? :notsure:
I haven't been changing the water regularly at all. I mean i might have chnaged 3 gallons in the past 6 months, but everything seems to be fine.

I would start being consistant with water changes.
No one can tell you, oh your tank is going to crash in such and such months because they don't know, it may be fine for years, but we do know that water changes help, they take out the old and put in new, they dilute bad stuff.
If you are not going to run a protien skimmer then I would be consisitant about 10% weekly water changes, they are so easy to do on a 20gallon there is just no reason not to.
