Has anyone had good luck/bad luck with this product?? It's a total of 144w and I'm wondering if it's sufficient enough for starter clams? It's almost 5watts/gallon. Am I limited to not having any specific coral with this set up?
as always,...thanks guys!!

My first light upgrade was to this nanotuners product. While the lighting might be okay for a T.deresa it is not sufficient for any of the other Tridacnids. If you are going to upgrade I suggest to go to MH, T5 or LED and skip right past the PC upgrade.

I'd like to go with MH, but don't like leaving my tank open on top. My snails are already climbing all the way up there. I'd hate for my critters to get out of there. I'd also hate the glare in my living room from my MH.
Is there a T5 conversion kit?
Cannot get a straight answer from ANYONE regarding LED setups, wattage, etc,...

You're looking at the nanotuners 144w upgrade correct? Check out the site for other upgrades I do believe there is a T5 option, but I may be wrong. They also have a LED upgrade for the biocube me thinks.

Yeah. I tried to find some retrofit kits,...but have come up empty. I'll keep looking. But in the mean time, if you come across something, drop me a line.

I saw that post! Thanks for the direction. I wonder what the pricetag is for such a contraption....
