I have a baby narrow lined puffer the size of a perc clownfish. He is amazing and I love him

I was wondering what else to add into the tank??
I have two clownfish
1 diamond goby
1 lawnmower blenny
a few crabs and snails.
What else can I add that my puffer won't try to suck on and then that fish will fight him???
He will be getting a bigger tank in about 1-2 yrs but not right now.
Thanks!

Im sure you know how big this guy will get. 12" when grown. You will eventually will no longer be able to house snails or hermits as they will be dinner. Puffers grow pretty fast. Any fish under a certain size like almost all the ones you listed can become food items for him.
what size tank is all this in? When you say the size of a perc clownfish. Is that full grown or what?

Yes, the clowns are about full size. I know he is going to be big, no worries, lol. He is a cutie and I love him. Right now he is in a 55 gallon. How long do you think he would be okay in there?
I was thinking of making my small like 30-40 gallon tank salt water- nothing is in there right now...and transfer the clowns soon- What do you think?

Id say you're good until he hits 6 inches or becomes too aggressive towards tank mates. Which will be sooner than later. These puffers are better than most big puffers with tankmates from what I have read and dont get as big. 12 inches is its max I believe. Id say start planning on standard 125. It would be good in that for a good amount of time. Once full grown you will need bigger fish than those listed.
A clown tank is something I plan in the future. I have a 75 for my b/w pair right now. They will share it with other fish though. A 55 is a great tank for a clown pair and a few other friends.

Bump!
I just seen a baby cowfish at my lfs and it was adorable. He is the size of my puffer too! Would he be okay to mix in??

Cowfish grow to be huge. Bigger than your puffer. They get almost two feet. They require a very laid back tank. If you have high flow the power heads will need to be turned off for feedings. Then if it dies it will release a toxin in your tank killing everything. Id say no.
