Well the "Left Turn Circut" has started... anyone excited for the season??? I am not really into it (I am going to see a race in KC this year
), but almost everyone I know has started to like it over the last couple years... Other than drinkin a couple cold ones and hangin out with friends I dont understand the draw to the sport... every car looks the same, weighs the same and goes just as fast as the other...
IMO they should make it interesting and let them go wild and not restrict them... or maybe make it interesting by leaving the debris on the track so they have to drive around it... they are professional driver ya know...lol

Never did interest me. I can't sit and watch cars drive around in a circle 500 times. It is the same thing over and over. I will catch crash highlights on sportscenter however.

Its an aquired taste. Going to a race is much better than TV. However, red neck racing is much better. Real guys out there busting ass. I am afraid Nextel will become too much WWF.

Guys i hate to burst your bubble but nascar is not a redneck sport anymore, most of the nascar drivers out there are from california. And nextel will do a heck of a job imo.

I hate it... They built the Texas Motor Speedway about 10 miles from my home.. 7 or 8 from my office. Now instead of Wip-O-Wills, owls and coyotes I hear stupid cars during every evening of a race week.
Traffic is HORRIBLE during race weekends, litter is everywhere, and most evil of all, they declared "imminent domain" and stole people's land to build it.

Nextel is not going to turn it into the WWF of auto racing, Nascar has done that by themselves already. The chase to the cup is the stupidest idea I've ever heard of. Stock Car Rcacing was cool up til the early 80's but has been going down hill ever since. Give me some local dirt track racing and I'm a happy guy. Sprint cars, Midgets and Northeast Dirt Modifieds are where it's at!

Well i can say im a happy nascar fan..........although it would be nice if they let them go 220-mph at talladega like its ment to be. But up until the restrictor plate racing came along it was wonderful and then nextel just put the iceing on the cake.........you dont even have to win races to win the championship..........imo not good tv let alone there isnt any point in trying your hardest to win.
