I purchased a naso last week adn was overjoyed. It was a great addition to my sailfin.
I noticed after a day that it didn't seem to be eating. I mixed up the food and added some various foods and it at that.
However, I must have assumed it continued to be eating and I came home the other day to find it on the bottom breathing very heavy.
I removed it put it in my fuge, with the algae it had eaten and turned off the lights (thought it would be better without the other fish pestering it.
Obviously I did a poor job with this fish. What I need to know is what can I do in the future to prevent this from happening again!!!!!!

Well, first do your best post all tank perameters and inhabitants and SIZE also water quality diagnosis as well.. Acclimation process.. sorry for your loss.. but this is a best place to start.

Do you have a QT/HT? Best to Qt for several weeks to make sure they are eating and give them a chance to strengthen. This will also make sure they are disease free before adding to your DT.

I unfortunately do not have a QT as of right now.
I understand that if I moved it into a QT it would not be bothered by other fish, but what if it was not eating even there, are there any suggestions?
And let's assume the water quality is not a concern.
