Very COOL. I might get flamed for this next comment but oh well...
I'm more interested in the inverts than I am fish. I wonder if there's a meeting I can attend? A hermit crab is what made me decide to try my hand at this hobby. I was at my wife's friend's house and she had a tank. I just stared at the few hermits that were in there and I was amazed. I saw a post on here where someone described the nassys as "Night of the Living Dead" snails and am looking forward to having them. I think my fish prejudice comes from fishing, I like pelagics and game fish. One day I'd like to have a predator tank with snappers and groupers with big pieces of lr.

Early the hermits, emeralds and snails I have are very exciting to watch. I can sit there for hours and watch them ***) . I have honestly cut back watching tv because I am so preoccupied. I keep telling my girlfriend that we got a 48" tv and didn't even realize it. I can't wait to add the fish.
PS I also can't wait to get down to pensacola and land me a 20" red fish
and a couple flounders :jumping:

I am going down on memorial day weekend. There is a minimum and maximum size for reds right? Some reason I have it in my mind that the biggest one you can catch is 28". Maybe I am way off here. Just can't wait to get in that florida water and sit on a boat for 5-6 hrs,and drink something out of the ol'brown bottle..

Which fish do you have to watch out for eating them?

28" is the max. Cans are better on the boat

Any invert "unsafe" fish. Also, hermits will occasionally kill them. I have some sort of Blenny (sold as a Bicolor but it's not..) that occasionally will grab one and rough them up to get the food they are eating.
