Nassarius Snails

I have 8 of them in my tank twice in the past month I have found a spiral pattern of eggs on my tank. I see if any hach in to any thing.

from what I observed they do not go on the rock work at all ... so if you have hermits that go on the rock work then I'd suggest about 30-45 .... depending on what else you have in terms of a clean-up crew. If you have a couple of fighting conchs to stir the sandbed then I go lower.... if you do not have any critters stiring the sand bed I go higher ....
from what I have observed since I put mine in my tank is that they either climb the glass or hide in the sand. If a hermit tries to get at them they retreat into the depths of their shells until the hermit gets frustrated and retreats ....

Just found this pic of a nass. snail laying eggs. it is not the typical snail routine, I also just found out that my snails have been busy . . . .;) :D

i just got some nassarius snails from ----. i met the guy since he lives an hour or so away.. dropped all 100 (i didnt count, but there is alot) into my tank after acclimating them...
I cant believe how fast they travel... i am waiting till they all settle down and get into the sand.. then feed the tank... i cant wait to see the sand come alive with all of them...
this is so cool!!
Thanks for your research! It was definitely a great suggestion..
best $35 bucks i have spent so far.
