I don't know what kind of site this is from but it doesn't really matter as it links into the Library of Congress where you will find his name on the bills (I checked before posting).

Don't trust media matters on anything. They list bills Obama sponsored. Go back and click on the links to the bills and tell us how many of those bills, all of which were introduced AFTER the Dems got control of the Senate made it out of committee and were voted on and became law,

Now, let's take a look at these bills, shall we?
His primary Bill, according to the link you provided, was titled:
Democratic Republic of the Congo Relief, Security, and Democracy Promotion Act of 2005
Great... let's dump so more hard earned money into the wasteland that is Central Africa.
Federal Funding Accountability and Transparency Act- Great.. he was the second, co-sponsor... Who has even heard of that before? a Second Co-Sponsor? Ok. So we'll give him that one.
That's it... the rest are Bills he "sponsored", not wrote...
As far as I know the aid to Congo is the only bill Obama can take sole credit for that was passed.

Exactly.
Hmm, interesting. I wonder if this fits with his church's Africa First mantra?

What about these?
In the 110th Congress, Obama has so far been the primary sponsor of 55 bills, including:
The Lane Evans Veterans Health and Benefits Improvement Act of 2007 (S.117), "to improve benefits and services for members of the Armed Forces, veterans of the Global War on Terrorism, and other veterans, to require reports on the effects of the Global War on Terrorism."
The American Fuels Act of 2007 (S.133), "to promote the national security and stability of the economy of the United States by reducing the dependence of the United States on oil through the use of alternative fuels and new technology."
The Voter Advocate and Democracy Index Act of 2007 (S.737), "to measure, compare, and improve the quality of voter access to polls and voter services in the administration of Federal elections in the States."
The STOP FRAUD Act (S.1222), "to stop

[hr]
transactions which operate to promote fraud, risk, abuse, and under-development."
The Nuclear Weapons Threat Reduction Act of 2007 (S.1977), "to provide for sustained United States leadership in a cooperative global effort to prevent nuclear terrorism, reduce global nuclear arsenals, stop the spread of nuclear weapons and related material and technology, and support the responsible and peaceful use of nuclear technology."
Guess you only read what will defend your position.

On the other hand, McCain sponsored a total of 22 bills in the last session:
4. [110th] S.84 : A bill to establish a United States Boxing Commission to administer the Act, and for other purposes.

Sponsor: Sen McCain, John [AZ] (introduced 1/4/2007) Cosponsors (14)
6. [110th] S.86 : A bill to designate segments of Fossil Creek, a tributary to the Verde River in the State of Arizona, as wild and scenic rivers.
9. [110th] S.327 : A bill to authorize the Secretary of the ******** to conduct a special resource study of sites associated with the life of Cesar Estrada Chavez and the farm labor movement.
S.531
Title: A bill to repeal section 10(f) of Public Law 93-531, commonly known as the "Bennett Freeze".
Amends federal law to repeal the requirement regarding the freeze on the development of lands in litigation under the Navajo-Hopi Settlement Act of 1974
15. [110th] S.722 : A bill to direct the Secretary of the ******** and the Secretary of Agriculture to jointly conduct a study of certain land adjacent to the Walnut Canyon National Monument in the State of Arizona.
17. [110th] S.952 : A bill to amend the Morris K. Udall Scholarship and Excellence in National Environmental and Native American Public Policy Act of 1992 to provide funds for training in tribal leadership, management

12. [110th] S.519 : A bill to modernize and expand the reporting requirements relating to child pornography, to expand cooperation in combating child pornography, and for other purposes.
All worthy causes for his constituents. However, does this show he's the typical politician that only helps the people who gives him the votes, and he would ignore anyone else who lives outside the state of Arizona?

Any Senator can write a bill. Writing one that can be passed is a whole different story.

Remember when Obama was in the State Senate his "maker" funneled everyone else's bills to him in 03 to set up his resume for the US Senate. I wonder who's been writing the bills he is being credited with in the US Senate. Seeing as how none of them are passing it's pretty obvious the Dems are more stingy at the national level

I would tell you, but you would have to keep it on the "Down low".
But I hear that he thinks Obama is a good lookin', articulate, clean cut fellow.

So McCain only 'sponsored' 22 bills in the same session, and a majority of those just benefitted his state. What does that tell you about the guy? How many did McCain write and get passed?

Who is the majority party and currently in control of the committees?
I was serious, btw, i wanted you to explain what "sponsor" means. I don't know for sure...

You're the historian and expert on government issues and policies, you tell me. I just went to that link to the Library of Congress and did a search for McCain on all bills he was the Primary Sponsor for. It came up with 22 for the 110th Session. This was from a source from the LOC about The Legislative Process:
Bill Development and Introduction
Only a Member of Congress can introduce a bill. However, the idea for the legislation may be developed elsewhere. Members receive proposed drafts of bills from constituents, academics, interest groups, lobbyists, state legislatures, executive branch departments, federal agencies, and the President of the United States. Members who embrace the concept can introduce it as their own, or if they wish to keep some distance from the proposal, can introduce it by request, with those words printed on the face of the bill, after their name as sponsor. This implies they introduced the bill out of professional courtesy, but does not mean they are necessarily embracing its ideas.

Sounds like sponsor means they like the premise of what's contained in the bill, but have an out if the bill is controversial or seen as a bad idea. "Hey, I didn't write the thing. I was just doing someone a favor, and I thought it looked good at first glance."

. What does that tell you about the guy?
It tells me he is working for the people he is paid to represent.
