Risking a first round pick and possibly $30mil in the bank or play a game that will only give you memories? Easy choice here.
Who's giving Colt McCoy 30 mill??? I haven't seen him projected in very many first round mock drafts.

Kirk if he goes in the top 20 he will get $30 mil no problem. Look at what qbs have been given the past few years. Look at what Sanchez and Stafford recieved. Insane money. He becomes the franchise

I wonder how much Bradford's shoulder injury played into that decision. And I also wonder how much Bradford's injury is going to make him slip in the draft.
Poor guy came back for one more year, then got hurt. He could be playing for the Jets right now...

Everyone seems to think if he is well enough to wing it in the combines he will do fine.

He didnt have a choice on coming back. NFL rules state you have to wait 3 years upon graduating before you can enter the nfl

Bradford could have come out after last year, he redshirted his true freshman year, then played the next two years which would have met the NFL requirements regarding the 3 year rule.

watch much football? My guess would be, no.
I agree with the no part, but they are going to have to spend money sometime, might as well spend it on something they can use. Yes, watch a bit of football. Before Palmer's injury, he was good, but now you don't know what Palmer you're going to get on gameday. maybe spend money on a kicker would be nice also.

Hard to argue with the kicker part after today...Palmer is a solid QB, he's not Manning or Rivers or Brees, but he is easily in the better half of the league. They had nothing at WR today, Revis made 85 nonexistent, and they have nobody else that is worth a damn.

That's what I'm saying, I just looked through a bunch of different "mock drafts", I can't find one that has McCoy going in the first round at all, let alone the top 20. Have to see how he and Tebow do at the combine and on the Wunderlick, but as of right now, they don't seem to either one be 1st round picks. Most have him 2nd round, and Tebow even later.

As far as Tebow...it is hard to draft a guy with no position in the NFL in the first couple rounds...will he be a fullback, a tight end, a wildcat specialist, maybe an h-back? There aren't many teams that are looking at him as a quarterback...his throwing motion may work in college, but in the NFL...he will have passes batted down, have the ball stripped, or give DB's an extra second to jump the routes and pick the ball off.
I don't doubt that he will get drafted and, if his work ethic in college is any indicator, he will work as hard as anyone to be good at whatever position he ends up playing...I just don't see that position being quarterback.

Dunno, looks like Young has finally adapted. Tebow may be able to as well but who is going to be crazy enough to pay what it's going to cost to get him when you may just end up with a mediocre tight end? I got a feeling someone will get him "cheap" and end up with a real bargain in a few years. Tampa maybe....

I don't get it. I guess I didn't play so I don't understand, but I don't get how you can be a top rated QB in College and not be considered that in the NFL.

Is Palmer good, yes I will give him that, but he has been inconsistent since his knee injury, and now the whole handing the ball off "goofy" handed. I will also agree about the receivers. Chad is a good person, but Chad cares about numbers and highlights. They should have traded him when they got the 1st and 3rd round offer for him. Franchise Benson, and shake up the rest of the offense I say. Maybe it'll happen soon.%%

Level of talent in the NFL is WAY higher. I don't remember the exact percentage but the number of college players that last more than a few years in the pros is pretty small.

I think Cincy might benefit from a more seasoned QB than Palmer. He just doesn't strike me as being in control of the offense in the few games I've watched this season.
