Anyway, who cares, nothing will come of this. My dad was special forces green berets and I don't recall any of them being charged.......and believe me they did some nasty stuff.

You can't change facts. Seals catch bad guy, bad guy claims he was mistreated which is the first play oin the terrorist playbook, brass offers seals the chance to plead to a minor charge that would allow political correctness to be stroked and cuddled. Seals tell brass to eat a booger, let's go to trial. After they are cleared I'd like to see these seals leave the military and run for congress.

They can only get approval for a mission now from either the SecDef or the President also any and all lethal force is to be avoided at ALL COSTS. So some one could waste half a seal team and they still have to try to escape without wasting the guys doing it.
I remember how well similar ROE's woked in Viet Nam.
