Need a Crab ID please

I found this little guy in the bottom of the bag my xenia coral came in I was thinking that it is an emerald crab but I am not sure since I have never seen one in person.

Looks like an emerald crab to me. Harmless will eat algae and bubble algae.

cute little emerald crab there. they go for about 10 bucks each here, nice score.

I like them as well, and will get more once I get the Mantis out of my display....
Watch him, however. There are repeated posts about people having issues with these guys. I never had a problem with mine, and many people keep them successfully. A few, however, have had trouble.
Maybe there is a closely related species (or a subspecies) that is not reef safe. Maybe it has to do with location they are from... who knows.
They are great workers so definitely keep it, just keep an eye on him.

Yeah, I had problems with my emeralds picking at my zoas. I was one of those unfortunate owners of a testy emerald crab.
