need a little help with rotifers

O K im ready to start breeding again. I left a bucket of rotifers outside (like the book said) I live in louisville ky so we had some below 32 temp. So the bucket is ten gal. I mixed it up and wow it was bad smelling. So how do i get that rotifers re started. I cant bring the bucket in side because it smells so bad. I started a new batch and used some of the stinking water and low salinty water with some rotifer feed and im using a heater as well. Any thing else i can do.

Are they full saltwater Rotifers or brackish Rotifers?
Let the water settle completely and siphon out the gunk at the very bottom. Filter out the larger stuff through a screen material and keep the fine sediment. The Cysts will be in the fine sediment. They will hatch once they are in water of good quality.
