Need a little help

Having a little trouble with heat in my bio cube - when the whole lid is closed the temp gets to 85-86 degrees --- if I open the the back section of the lid - the temp drops to around 80 - I don't want to have to keep part of the lid open
I have a nice chiller - will have to go look at the size - but I used it to chill my seahorse tank - I need to figure out what size pump to use - for the 56 gal I used a maxi-jet 1200
not sure if I would need that much push for a 29 gal bio-cube

what size pump do you think I need

The down side to bio cubes... sealed tops. If there was any way to do it, I'd find a way to cover the back opening with mesh. Not only will it help regulate the temp, it'll help tremendously with gas exchange.

Not sure if chillers are designed to work with match-sized pumps, but it would make sense if they were. The MJ-1200 isn't a strong pump, and a control valve on the output side should do the trick if there's too much flow. Just my 2c...
